DIY: Leaking hose bibbs

1. Turn off the water supply: Find the valve that controls water to the hose bibb (the outdoor faucet) and turn it off.
2. Remove the handle: Unscrew the handle of the hose bibb and take it off.
3. Replace the washer: Take out the valve stem (the part inside the hose bibb) and replace the washer at the end. This washer is often the cause of leaks.
4. Reassemble the hose bibb: Put everything back together and tighten the packing nut (the nut around the valve stem).
5. Turn on the water supply: Turn the water back on and check if the leak is fixed.
